Payment Policy | Travel Xpect

At Travel Xpect, we believe in transparency and ease of transaction to make your journey planning as smooth as possible. Our payment policy is designed to ensure that your bookings for Chardham Yatra, hotels, and transport services are secured well in advance, allowing us to provide you with the confirmed services you expect.

To confirm your booking, a structured payment schedule must be followed. This ensures that third-party vendors (hotels, airlines, helicopter operators) are paid on time to hold your reservations.

1. Payment Schedule

The following payment timeline applies to all our tour packages unless specified otherwise in your booking invoice. Adhering to this schedule is crucial to avoid automatic cancellation of your booking.

Standard Payment Structure

Advance Booking Fee: You must pay 30% of the total package cost at the time of booking to secure your reservation. This amount is used to initiate the booking process.
Second Installment: You must pay 40% of the total package cost at least 15 days or more before the date of departure. This ensures that your hotel vouchers and other services are finalized.
Final Payment: The remaining 30% of the total package cost must be paid 4 days before the date of departure. Full payment is required before the tour commences.

Note: For bookings made less than 15 days before departure, 100% full payment is required at the time of booking.

2. Modes of Payment

We accept a variety of payment methods to suit your convenience. Please ensure that you use only the official accounts provided by our sales team.

Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS): You can transfer funds directly to our current account. Details will be provided in your invoice.
UPI & Digital Wallets: We accept payments via Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and other BHIM UPI apps.
Credit/Debit Cards: Payments via credit or debit cards may attract a standard bank transaction fee (usually 2-3%) depending on the gateway.
Cheque Payments: Cheques are accepted subject to realization. The booking will only be confirmed once the funds have cleared in our account. Please allow at least 5 working days for cheque clearance.

3. Non-Payment & Delays

Timely payment is essential for the smooth operation of your tour. Failure to pay on time may have the following consequences:

Booking Cancellation

If the second installment or final payment is not received by the due date, Travel Xpect reserves the right to cancel your booking. In such cases, the Advance Booking Fee (30%) may be forfeited as per our Cancellation Policy.

Service Downgrades

In peak seasons (May-June for Chardham), hotels require 100% advance payment to hold rooms. A delay in your payment to us may result in the hotel releasing your rooms. Prioritizing re-booking might force us to provide alternative accommodation which could differ from the original itinerary.

4. Helicopter & Flight Tickets

Please note that payments for Helicopter tickets and Flight tickets often fall outside the standard 30-40-30 structure.

Helicopter Tickets: 100% payment is required upfront to book helicopter tickets for Kedarnath or Chardham, as these are instant-purchase items with limited availability.
Flight Tickets: 100% payment is required at the time of issuance. Fare fluctuations are not our responsibility if payment is delayed.

5. GST & Invoicing

All payments made to Travel Xpect are subject to the applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) under Indian Law. The current GST rate for tour packages is 5%.

A GST Invoice will be issued for all payments received.
Please provide your GSTIN at the time of booking if you wish to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC). GST invoices cannot be amended once issued.
